Love Never Fails

"For He so loved us all";

Whether we are black, brown, big, or small.

He doesn't care if we're short or tall;

He cares that we give Him a call.

Especially if we start to fall;

Or feel like we aren't giving our all.

Look at what He did for Paul;

Remember when he went by Saul?

Saul thought he knew best;

He even wanted to put Jesus to a test.

Saul claimed Jesus wasn't who He said;

He stoned some disciples, and one was dead.

Saul set out to get more to fight;

Jesus stopped him from the sky to say he wasn't right.

For three days He took away his vision;

This gave Saul a brand new mission.

He changed his name to Paul;

And he gave God his all.

God loved Paul so much He had Jesus visit him;

He lifted him up out of his sin.

God knows how good we can be;

Even when it's impossible for us to see.

Be grateful for who you are today;

Ask God to improve and purify you when you pray;

Remember He is with you day by day;

Nothing you do will make Him go away!

Nice and Easy

Ah, that's nice;

But what is the price?

No aches and no pains;

That means there's no gains.

Going with the flow of this world will come with ease;

Doing anything to please.

But pleasing who?

Is it done for you?

That's not the way it should be;

Why is this so hard to see?

When we are doing what we should;

It may not feel very good.

The evil one wants us back;

His detachment can feel like an attack.

The world may seem ugly and cold;

Maybe you're finally being bold.

Standing apart from the rest;

Helping others, and doing your best.

On our own we can't do that;

We'd just be laying flat.

Who gives you your strength and power?

Sometimes it depends upon the hour.

When we do good it comes from above;

He can make us as light and free as a flying dove.

When we do wrong it can feel the same;

That's the devil playing his tricky game.

So how do we tell?

How do we make sure we aren't under some spell?

Read the Bible to see;

Make sure you are working for others--not just me, me, me.

Pray for God to guide you on His path;

Don't try to figure it out--He'll do the math.

Look for trouble as a sign;

This means you're leaving evil behind.

Ask God for power to do His will;

You won't need to envy, lie, steal, or kill.

God Knows

Why am I so hard on myself?

God isn't.

Why do I think I've done too much wrong?

God doesn't.

Am I good enough?

God thinks so.

Can I be better?

God knows so.

Is there time?

Only God knows.

When should I begin?

Now.

How do I start?

Pray, read, listen.

What will I hear?

Silence.

What will I feel?

Loving peace.

How will I know I'm doing it right?

God will know.
