As the World Turns

We spin in circles morning, noon, and night;
Ceaselessly seeking--wanting everything right.
The light stays steady;
Never gone, always ready.
Life springs forth by day;
We sigh out--the only price to pay.
Everything given to us;
Running? Why always a rush?
If we aren't hurried, we sit like a stagnant pool;
No need seen to move, much less use a tool.
Still, when we rise the light is on;
Each day beginning, as a new dawn.
What's so steady and stable?
Always giving, loving, and able?
The Light is the Lord of Hosts;
Honest and humble, with no need to boast.
He has shined from the start;
Before the first beat of a heart.
Everything designed with such care;
And He still had a day to spare.
Look in the sky for His Light;
Stop being in any fright.
His gift is given for free;
Just follow a few simple rules, and He will open your eyes to see!
AMEN
