Growing Through Obstacles

The shrub outside my window is trimmed into whatever form the gardener cuts it to week after week with no complaints and without ceasing to thrive. This plant never gives up its attempt to grow upward and outward even though it is continually chopped back down. Lord, give me the patience and resolve to keep reaching for the highest heights despite my many obstacles. Give me the humility to accept what is done to me and for me as an opportunity for learning and growth. In Jesus name I pray. AMEN.
