Words and Thoughts Matter

Imagine your tongue as a plantation,
Teeming with vegetation.
With every neat and tidy row,
A lustrous crop would grow.
Just the right amount of morning dew,
At night the buds rest to create anew.
The seeds you planted were well nourished because of your thoughts and words,
It really was something for all to observe.
If the seeds aren't tended, and the words aren't kind;
What sprouts on the tongue will look like something one has left behind.
For words said with disgust,
Push out a cloud of dust.
These evil thoughts can blot out the sun in the day;
Now not even one shoot can find it's way.
Resentment has caused you darkness and ruin,
When it should be the height of day at noon.
They say you reap what you sow,
Hopefully contentment is what you know.
God wants all gardens full and in bloom,
Not a world full of gloom.
Amen
